Our Story

It began on the shores of Lake Erie,...

collecting beach glass on our neighborhood beach. Our beach, located in Lake View, NY, is our "summer oasis". Long strolls on the natural shoreline, dog unleashed and wine in-hand, enjoying sunsets led to collecting vintage, shore-washed beach glass. Nothing compares to this life!

The finds....

are plentiful. Always several different sizes, colors and shapes. We were amassing quite a collection, and after a while, I wanted to do something with some of this glass. I began to learn how to solder-wrap and played with some beach glass designs.

It was around that same time that we took a family trip, and I found a great little boutique in Cocoa Beach, Florida. There, i picked up a spoon bracelet that I loved. After only having this for a few months, I lost this bracelet. So, I decided to try to make one myself.

Which brings us to today...

And so, it began...

I started watching videos, joining Facebook groups and playing to learn how to bend silverware. It was not easy, and took lots of practice! I had to learn traditional silversmithing techniques to anneal and solder, work with different types of metals (copper, brass, sterling, silver plate, etc.), and learn how to work with glass.

As I am a teacher full-time and a college professor part time, I do this in my spare time! I work out of my home in the evenings and over the summer, have a full schedule for shows. I do take custom projects and make family heirloom pieces per request. I also am available for home parties, and teach classes out of my own home. Check out my schedule on the "Calendar of Events" page for a complete list of where I will be. Contact me if you have any questions!
